A film by Mamadou Dia

This is the last year of master’s degree at the prestigious dance school "Ecole des Sables", founded in Senegal and directed by choreographer and dancer Germaine Acogny, 80 years old. Germaine Acogny received a Golden Lion for her entire career at the 2021 Venice Biennale. Its students from all over Africa give themselves "body and soul" to obtain their diploma, but also the blessing of "the mother of modern African dance" or "mother germaine".
