CHERCHEZ LA FEMME

Julie Gavras
with Mathieu Decarli & Olivier Marquézy

Did you know that Adam had a wife before Eve? That there were Viking warriors as well as samurai? That women invented beer? Do you know the name of the woman who wrote the very first algorithm? The one who invented the aquarium? Or the creator of Monopoly? And most importantly, do you know how all these women disappeared from history...?
Cherchez la femme is a stop-motion animated series that stages the joyful exchanges between a pontificating narrator-historian and the paper silhouette of a woman from a history book and determined to correct this learned male History.
