ALEA JACARANDA

A film by Hassen Ferhani

In Algiers, a writer embarks on a poetic mapping of jacarandas, trees with mauve blossoms that originated in Latin America. His filmmaker son follows him on this intimate wandering, where the father's stories weave a loving dictionary of the city. Their intertwining gazes compose the story of a transmission.
